Dr. Frankel did his undergraduate work at the University of Iowa. He graduated the Illinois College of Optometry in 1990. He and his father Dr. Bernard Frankel have owned a practice at 63rd and Pulaski in Chicago. Dr. Hal currently devotes his time to this Bolingrook practice today. Dr. Hal Frankel has done several volunteer trips to Mexico to help the less fortunate with glasses. He has volunteered with his father at the Ark in Chicago. Dr. Hal Frankel currently works with Churches and schools in the area to provide eye exams and glasses to local families in need.
